Books are the tether of fugitive words;
Writing is a tether for stray words.
script is the thread of wisdom’s rare pearls.
And script is a thread for wisdom’s choice pearls.
بِالخَطِّthrough script نُظِّمَwas strung together كُلُّevery مُنتَثِرٍscattered thing

By script, every scattered word is ordered
Through script was strung together all that lay scattered
from among them, and every ordered whole delineated.
of wisdom, and all that was ordered was set forth in detail.

And the sword—though it is as you know it—
And the sword, for all the standing you know it to have,
is obliged to revere the pen.
is duty-bound to worship the pen.
