Be quiet—God curse you—some mute you are!
Be silent—may God curse you, you mute,
He makes no sense to people, yet will not be still.
Who neither makes himself understood by people nor keeps silent.

He keeps pace with the speakers, like an echo;
He runs alongside the speakers like an echo;
He neither speaks well nor falls silent.
He neither speaks well nor remains silent.
