اُنظُرlook إِلىat قُطرِthe rain of السَماءِthe sky وَوَبلِهاand its downpour
اُنظُر إِلى قُطرِ السَماءِ وَوَبلِها
وَدُنُوِّand the nearness of نائِلِهاits bounty وَبُعدِand the remoteness of مَحَلِّهاits station
وَدُنُوِّ نائِلِها وَبُعدِ مَحَلِّها
Look at the sky’s rain and its downpour,
The nearness of its bounty and the remoteness of its station,
وَشُمولُand the wide reach of ماwhat نَشَرتَهُyou spread it مِنof مَعروفِهاits kindness
وَشُمولُ ما نَشَرتَهُ مِن مَعروفِها
فَاِنبَثَّso it spread فيthrough حَزنِthe rugged ground of البِلادِthe land وَسَهلِهاand its plains
فَاِنبَثَّ في حَزنِ البِلادِ وَسَهلِها
And the wide reach of the kindness you have spread,
Which spread through the land’s rugged ground and plains.
بَلbut ماwhat يَروعُكَawes you مِنof وُفورِthe abundance of عَطائِهاits bounty
بَل ما يَروعُكَ مِن وُفورِ عَطائِها
وَعُلُوِّand the height of مَوضِعِهاits station وَلِذَّةِand the delight of ظِلِّهاits shade
وَعُلُوِّ مَوضِعِها وَلِذَّةِ ظِلِّها
But what awes you about its abundant bounty
And its lofty station and the delight of its shade?
اُنظُرlook بَنيthe sons of زَيدٍZayd فَإِنَّfor indeed مَحَلَّهُمtheir station
اُنظُر بَني زَيدٍ فَإِنَّ مَحَلَّهُم
مِنfrom فَوقِهاabove it وَعَطاءَهُمand their bounty مِنfrom قَبلِهاbefore it
مِن فَوقِها وَعَطاءَهُم مِن قَبلِها
Look at the sons of Zayd, for their station
Is above it, and their bounty comes before its own.
