بِأَسنِمَةٍwith humps مِثلُlike الأَكامِthe hills سَوامِقِtowering
We have herds of camels whose backs sway
with towering humps like hills.

كَماas سَرَتِcrept الأَحلامُwisdom فَوقَover المَفارِقِthe hair-partings
They trampled the spring pasture and uprooted its growth,
as wisdom creeps over the partings of the hair.

Dark, thundering clouds built them up as a house is built,
coming in the wake of dark clouds flashing lightning.

Lightning circles their waists and curls back,
as though they wore gilded belts.
