وَمُقلَةٌ كَحَمِيّا الكَأسِ مُسكِرَةً

وَمُقلَةٌ كَحَمِيّا الكَأسِ مُسكِرَةً

وَحاجِبٌ كَهِلالِ الشَمسِ مَقرونُ

وَحاجِبٌ كَهِلالِ الشَمسِ مَقرونُ

And an eye, intoxicating as the wine-cup’s heady heat,

And lightning eyes as intoxicating as a brimming cup,

And an eyebrow, joined to its fellow, like the sun’s crescent.

Arched brows like crescent moons newly formed.
