A white, camphor-like harisa,
A white camphor flower
In a bowl as yellow as a dinar;
In a golden yellow bowl

وَلِلسَلاءِ لَمعَةٌ تِبرِيَه
For the eater, it holds a musk-like dark patch;
It exhales a musky scent for the man
And the clarified butter has a gleam of raw gold,
And gives a glittering sheen for the bucket

مِثلَ السِوارِ في يَدِ الرومِيَه
Circling within a silvery-white expanse,
Revolving in a silver basin
Like a bracelet on a Byzantine woman's hand.
Like a bracelet on a Roman lady’s hand
