وَمَيِّتٌ لا يَكادُ المَرءُ يَدفُنُهُ

وَمَيِّتٌ لا يَكادُ المَرءُ يَدفُنُهُ

إِلّا إِذا عادَ حَيّاً بَعدَ ما ماتا

إِلّا إِذا عادَ حَيّاً بَعدَ ما ماتا

And a dead one whom a man can scarcely bury,

And a dead man whom one can hardly bury

unless he returns alive after having died.

Except when he comes back to life after he died

وَمَيِّتٌ غَيَّبوا في الأَرضِ جُثَّتَهُ

وَمَيِّتٌ غَيَّبوا في الأَرضِ جُثَّتَهُ

عَمداً لِكَي يَجعَلوا الأَحياءَ أَمواتا

عَمداً لِكَي يَجعَلوا الأَحياءَ أَمواتا

And a dead one whose body they hid in the earth,

And a dead man whose body they hid in the earth

deliberately, so they might turn the living into the dead.
