Spring has shown us, among the beauties of its craft,

Look-alikes matching in shape and form.

Their exteriors are green, their inner linings white,

Resembling Coptic linen beneath lustrous silk brocade.

White look-alikes within rounded green forms,

    Like chrysolite folded over pearls.

Their green exterior splits open to reveal dazzling white,

Like a mouth gleaming beneath a green-black mustache.
