صبراً على الذُلِّ والصغارِ

O You who cause the night to enter the day,

Grant patience in the face of humiliation and abasement.

كم مِن حمارٍ له حمارٌ

كم مِن حمارٍ له حمارٌ

ومن جوادٍ بلا حمارِ

ومن جوادٍ بلا حمارِ

How many an ass has a donkey,

And how many a generous man is without a donkey!
