فعَزَّيتُ نفسي مصدِراً ومُوَرِّدا
You taunt me for my nakedness—what folly men show!
Foolish men reproach me for my nakedness.
So I consoled myself, wherever I went, outward or homeward:
So I consoled myself, going forth and returning,

I am like the sword, fairest to behold,
With the thought that I am like a sword, the fairest thing to behold,
and most fearsome to meet when it is bared.
And the most fearsome thing to encounter when it is bared.
