أَباحَنا وَصلَهُ المَحبوبُ في دارِه

أَباحَنا وَصلَهُ المَحبوبُ في دارِه

وَلاحَ كَالشَمسِ حُسناً وَقتَ إِبدارِه

وَلاحَ كَالشَمسِ حُسناً وَقتَ إِبدارِه

The beloved granted us union with him in his home,

The beloved allowed our visit in his abode

And shone like the sun in beauty, in his full-moon splendor.

And his beauty shone like the sun at the time of its rising

فَقُلتُ للنَفسِ هَذا وَقتُهُ دارِه

فَقُلتُ للنَفسِ هَذا وَقتُهُ دارِه

أورِد لَهُ عَسجَداً مِن قَبلِ إِصدارِه

أورِد لَهُ عَسجَداً مِن قَبلِ إِصدارِه

So I said to myself, “This is his moment; humor him.

So I said to myself, this is the time, his abode

Bring him gold before he sends you away.”

Offer to him, before his departure, a gift of devotion
