O you whose body is clad in fine wool,
O one who clothes his body in fine wool,
and O you naked of every virtue and of sense!
and O one devoid of all virtue and good sense,
أَتَزهىdo you boast بِصوفٍof wool وَهوَwhile it بِالأَمسِyesterday مُصبِحٌin the morning
أَتَزهى بِصوفٍ وَهوَ بِالأَمسِ مُصبِحٌ

Do you preen yourself on wool that was, yesterday morning,
do you boast of wool that yesterday morning was
on a ewe, and now, this evening, is on a billy goat?
on a ewe, and now, at evening, is on a billy goat?
