لَقَدindeed زادَنيhave increased for me بِالناسabout people علماًknowledge تجاربيmy experiences
وَمَنand whoever جَرَّبَhas experienced الأَيامَthe days مِثليas I have تَعلَّماhas learned
My experiences have indeed increased my knowledge of people.
My dealings with people have increased my knowledge,
And whoever has experienced the days as I have has learned.
And he who has experienced days like mine has learned.
وَإِنيand indeed I وَتَطلابيand my seeking مِنfrom الناسpeople راحَةًcomfort
لكالمبتغيindeed like one seeking وَسطَin the midst of الجَحيمHell تَنَعُّماbliss
And I, in my quest for comfort from people,
I and yearning for people's approval are at peace;
Am indeed like one seeking bliss in the midst of Hell.
Like one seeking comfort midst the fiery hell.
I shall renounce the world حَتىuntil لاnot أَرىI see ليfor myself صاحِباًa companion
وَأُنجِدُand I shall head for Najd حَتّىuntil لاnot أُلاقيَI meet مُتهِماone bound for Tihama
I shall renounce the world until I have no companion,
I shall detach myself until I have no companion left,
And head for Najd until I meet no one bound for Tihama.
And keep to myself until no accuser appears.
