Make both definite, or indefinite, or make definite
Whether we know them or not, or recognize them
the adjective or its governed noun; and do inflect
For description or its object, let them be declined

أَو كانَ فيهِ مضمر تكررا
Inelegant is a construction from which you omit the pronoun,
It is ugly what is omitted from it the hidden
or one in which a pronoun is repeated.
Or if it had a repeated hidden

وَنحوَ داجي شعره قَد وَردا

نَثراً وَنَظماً فاترك المبردا
And expressions like 'one whose hair is dark' are indeed attested,
And like Daji his hair has come
in prose and verse; so disregard al-Mubarrad.
In prose and verse, so leave al-Mubarrad

وَالنَصب في النَثر أَتى وَالشعر
And the accusative of 'his hair' is evidence for the genitive;
And raise his hair as evidence for the genitive
and the accusative occurs in prose and verse.
And the raising in prose came and poetry

عَذارُه لا بِالقَبيح ذَقنِ
And two forms are forbidden, as in: 'Be enamored of the one fair
And two prevent it like their defiance with beauty
of cheek, not the one ugly of chin.'
Its excuse not with the ugly chin
