وَلَقَدand indeed شَقِيتyou suffered بِأَحدَبٍwith a hunchback مِنfrom بَعدِafter ماthat (clause marker)
وَلَقَد شَقِيت بِأَحدَبٍ مِن بَعدِ ما
قَدalready نلتyou attained بِالظَبيِwith the gazelle الغريرِguileless نَعيماbliss
قَد نلت بِالظَبيِ الغريرِ نَعيما
And indeed you have suffered with a hunchback, after
you had attained bliss with the guileless gazelle.
فَأَبوso the father of الغُصونِthe branches مُنادِمٌa drinking companion لَكَto you بَعدَماafter
فَأَبو الغُصونِ مُنادِمٌ لَكَ بَعدَما
قَدalready كُنتَyou had been للغُصنِto the branch الرَطيبِsupple نَديماa drinking companion
قَد كُنتَ للغُصنِ الرَطيبِ نَديما
So Abu al-Ghusun (Father of Branches) is your drinking companion, after
you had been a drinking companion to the supple branch.
