لَقَدindeed زادَنيgave me more بِالناسof people علماًknowledge تجاربيmy experiences
وَمَنand whoever جَرَّبَexperienced الأَيامَthe days مِثليlike me تَعلَّماhas learned
My experiences have indeed increased my knowledge of people.
And whoever has experienced the days as I have has learned.
وَإِنيand indeed I وَتَطلابيand my seeking مِنfrom الناسpeople راحَةًcomfort
لكالمبتغيsurely like one seeking وَسطَamid الجَحيمHell تَنَعُّماbliss
And I, in seeking comfort from people,
Am surely like one seeking bliss amid Hell.
سَأَزهَدُI shall withdraw حَتىuntil لاnot أَرىI see ليfor me صاحِباًa companion
وَأُنجِدُand I shall go to Najd حَتّىuntil لاnot أُلاقيَI meet مُتهِماone bound for Tihāmah
I shall withdraw until I have no companion,
And I shall go up to Najd until I meet no one bound for Tihāmah.
