Your hope for a copper coin that has become—in my snares—
Captured prey is a hope for offspring from barrenness.
أَأَتعبُshall I toil? فيin تَحصيلهacquiring it وَأُضيعهand squander it
إِذنthen كُنتُI would be مُعتاضاًexchanging مِنfrom البرءِhealth بالسقمِfor sickness
Shall I toil to acquire it, only to squander it?
Then I would be exchanging health for sickness.
