I asked the scion of generosity a favor; my day had not ended

Before I found myself in the garden of Jilliq.

So I pluck some of its apples and quinces,

Ripe, and pears that delight my eye.

A generous man: whenever you ask him for something, he

Gives freely, grants what you wish, and selects with care.

Even if you do not ask him, he gives unprompted; for

Their noble qualities are innate, without affectation.

Sons of noble fathers and lords,

Their praises are recounted in the West and East.

And indeed Jalal al-Din, our chief judge,

Is surely the finest leader, deeply rooted in virtue.

He teaches the ignorant through meticulous inquiry,

And gathers hopeful seekers through bounty widely dispensed.

And how many are his abundant favors to me!

Never in all my days have I gone forth without their adornment.

And many a Nasiri court have I frequented,

And mingled with many men of ample means and rising rank.

Yet they never gave a thing, nor was I one

To seek a gift from a foolish charlatan.

Until the vast sea swelled and engulfed us

With a current of his generosity, drowning us in bounty.

    فَلا زالَ في حِفظٍ مِن اللَهِ ما بَقِي

    He lends majesty to the splendor of the days;

So may he remain in God's protection as long as he lives.
