وَلَقَدand indeed شَقِيتyou suffered بِأَحدَبٍwith a hunchback مِنfrom بَعدِafter ماthat (clause marker)
وَلَقَد شَقِيت بِأَحدَبٍ مِن بَعدِ ما
قَدalready نلتyou attained بِالظَبيِwith the gazelle الغريرِguileless نَعيماbliss
قَد نلت بِالظَبيِ الغريرِ نَعيما
And truly you have suffered with a hunchback, after
And indeed you suffered with a hunchback, after
you had found bliss with the guileless gazelle.

فَأَبوso the father of الغُصونِthe branches مُنادِمٌa drinking companion لَكَto you بَعدَماafter
فَأَبو الغُصونِ مُنادِمٌ لَكَ بَعدَما
قَدalready كُنتَyou were للغُصنِto the branch الرَطيبِsupple نَديماa drinking companion
قَد كُنتَ للغُصنِ الرَطيبِ نَديما
So Father of Branches is your boon companion, after
So Abu al-Ghusun is your drinking companion, after
you had been the tender bough’s boon companion.
you had been a drinking companion to the supple branch.
