ياO مُنضِيَyou who weary الطَرفِthe gaze فيin مَيدانarena لذتهits pleasure
يا مُنضِيَ الطَرفِ في مَيدان لذته
وَناضيand you who unsheathe الطَرفِthe gaze بَينَamid الراحِthe wine وَالرُودand the supple women
وَناضي الطَرفِ بَينَ الراحِ وَالرُود
O you who weary your gaze in the arena of its pleasures,
O you who weary the gaze in the arena of its pleasure,
and draw that gaze like a blade between wine and roses,
and unsheathe the gaze amid wine and supple women,
سَتَشربُyou will drink الراحَthe wine راحَwine of الوَقتِtime كارِهَةًunwillingly
سَتَشربُ الراحَ راحَ الوَقتِ كارِهَةً
وَيَذهبُand will perish الجسمُthe body بَينَamid التُربِthe dust وَالدُودِand the worms
وَيَذهبُ الجسمُ بَينَ التُربِ وَالدُودِ
you shall drink another wine—the wine of Time—against your will,
you will drink wine—the wine of time—unwillingly,
and the body shall pass away amid dust and worms.
and the body will perish amid dust and worms.
