God is greatest! Is this gazelle a Roman,
God is greatest, is this poem Romani
or a dark-eyed houri who has visited us from Eden?
Or a Houri returned to us from Eden?

One in essence, his beauties cannot be counted.
Unique in essence, His beauties beyond count,
Freely accessible to the gaze, protected by the sword.
Familiar to the glance yet protected by the sword.

His radiance, his hair, his neck, and his stature:
His splendor, his hair, his guidance, his stature -
dawn, night, crystal, and a Khatti spear.
Dawn and night, crystal and calligraphy.
