And I did not know that the master of my soul
I did not know that my beloved
Is called Mazlum ('the wronged'), though his coldness is injustice,
is called oppressed, his aloofness being injustice,
إِلىuntil أَنthat دَعانيhe called me لِلهَوىto love فَأَجَبتهso I answered him

Until he called me to love, and I answered him;
until he called me to love and I responded,
And whoever is wronged has his prayer answered.
and whoever is oppressed, his call is answered.
