أؤمل أن أراه لعل جفني

أؤمل أن أراه لعل جفني

يعاوده برؤيته كراه

ويمنع ناظري نظري إليه

فعال مواربٍ لي من هواه

And my eyes will prevent my sight of him

behaving like one who dissembles with me out of love for him.
