But I wasted it confused among the ships.

أشكو إلى اللَه نعظاً قد منيت به

وما ألاقي من الأملاقِ والحزنِ

وما ألاقي من الأملاقِ والحزنِ

I complain to God of an erection with which I have been afflicted,

I complain to God of a misery I suffered,

And of the poverty and sorrow I endure.

And I find no escape from depression and sorrow.
