وَلاحَت لي مِنَ السَلوَ

وَلاحَت لي مِنَ السَلوَ

ةِ آياتٌ وَآثارُ

ةِ آياتٌ وَآثارُ

And of forgetfulness there appeared to me

And signs and traces appeared to me

Signs and traces.

From intimacy, clearly

أَراها مِنكَ بِالقَلبِ

أَراها مِنكَ بِالقَلبِ

وَلِلأَحشاءِ أَبصارُ

وَلِلأَحشاءِ أَبصارُ

I see them coming from you with my heart,

I see them in my heart

And the inward parts have eyes.

While my inner self has sights

إِذا مابَرَدَ الحُبُّ

إِذا مابَرَدَ الحُبُّ

فَما تُسخِنُهُ النارُ

فَما تُسخِنُهُ النارُ

If love has grown cold,

When love grows cold

Then fire will not warm it.

Fire cannot warm it
