لَستُI do not أَرجوhope for النَجاةَdeliverance مِنfrom كُلِّall ماthat which أَخـI fear it (first fragment)
لَستُ أَرجو النَجاةَ مِن كُلِّ ما أَخـ
ـشاهُI fear it (final fragment) إِلّاexcept بِأَحمَدٍthrough Ahmad وَعَلِيِّand Ali
ـشاهُ إِلّا بِأَحمَدٍ وَعَلِيِّ
I do not hope for deliverance from all that I
I hope for salvation from all I dread
fear except through Ahmad and Ali;
Only through Ahmad and Ali
وَبِبِنتِand through the daughter of الرَسولِthe Messenger فاطِمَةِFatimah الطُهـthe pure one (first fragment)
وَبِبِنتِ الرَسولِ فاطِمَةِ الطُهـ
ـرِthe pure one (final fragment) وَسِبطَيهِand his two grandsons وَالإِمامِand the Imam عَلِيِّAli
ـرِ وَسِبطَيهِ وَالإِمامِ عَلِيِّ
and through the Messenger’s daughter, Fatimah the
And the Prophet's daughter Fatima the pure
pure, and his two grandsons, and Imam Ali;
And her two grandsons and the Imam Ali
وَالتَقِيِّand the pious one النَقِيِّthe pure one باقِرِone who lays open عِلمِknowledge of الـGod (first fragment)
وَالتَقِيِّ النَقِيِّ باقِرِ عِلمِ الـ
ـلَهِGod (final fragment) فيناamong us مُحَمَّدِMuhammad بنِson of عَلِيِّAli
ـلَهِ فينا مُحَمَّدِ بنِ عَلِيِّ
and the pious, pure one, who lays open the knowledge of
And the pious, immaculate, knowledgeable one
God among us, Muhammad son of Ali;
Muhammad son of Ali residing in us
وَاِبنِهِand his son جَعفَرٍJa‘far وَموسىand Musa وَمَولاand master (word continues)
وَاِبنِهِ جَعفَرٍ وَموسى وَمَولا
ناour عَلِيٍّAli أَكرِمhow noble بِهِhe is (exclamatory) مِنas an عَلِيِّAli
نا عَلِيٍّ أَكرِم بِهِ مِن عَلِيِّ
and his son Ja‘far, and Musa, and
And his son Ja'far, and Musa and our master
our master Ali (how noble an Ali he is!);
Ali, nobler through him than Ali
وَأَبيand Abu (father of) جَعفَرٍJa‘far سَمِيِّnamesake of رَسولِthe Messenger of الـGod (first fragment)
وَأَبي جَعفَرٍ سَمِيِّ رَسولِ الـ
ـلَهِGod (final fragment) ثُمَّthen اِبنِهِhis son الزَكِيِّthe virtuous one عَلِيِّAli
ـلَهِ ثُمَّ اِبنِهِ الزَكِيِّ عَلِيِّ
and Abu Ja‘far, namesake of the Messenger of
And Abu Ja'far, the namesake of the Messenger of God
God, then his virtuous son Ali;
Then his son, the righteous one, Ali
وَاِبنِهِand his son العَسكَرِيِّal-Askari (the military one) وَالقائِمِand al-Qa’im (the Riser) المُظـthe revealer (first fragment)
وَاِبنِهِ العَسكَرِيِّ وَالقائِمِ المُظـ
ـهِرِthe revealer (final fragment) حَقّيmy right مُحَمَّدِMuhammad بنِson of عَلِيِّAli
ـهِرِ حَقّي مُحَمَّدِ بنِ عَلِيِّ
and his son al-Askari, and al-Qa’im, who makes
And his son al-Askari and the arising one
my right manifest, Muhammad son of Ali.
Who will manifest the truth, Muhammad son of Ali
بِهِمthrough them أَرتَجيI hope for بُلوغَattainment of الأَمانيwishes
بِهِم أَرتَجي بُلوغَ الأَماني
يَومَon the day of عَرضيmy being presented عَلىbefore الإِلَهِGod العَلِيِّthe Most High
يَومَ عَرضي عَلى الإِلَهِ العَلِيِّ
Through them I hope to attain my wishes
Through them do I hope to attain all wishes
on the day I am brought before God Most High.
On the day I stand before the Most High God
