For love of you, my heart holds a sanctuary none enters

But you, and a knot no creature can untie.

And you had set my hopes free with a promise,

And fixed a time for me—and that time is now.

Under what ruling, then, or according to what doctrine

Do you permit my blood to be shed, while God does not permit it?
