اِطرَحواentrust الأَمرَthe matter إِلَيناto us
اِطرَحوا الأَمرَ إِلَينا
وَاِحمِلواand lay الكُلَّall of it عَلَيناupon us
وَاِحمِلوا الكُلَّ عَلَينا
Entrust the matter to us,
Leave the matter to us
and lay it all upon us.
And place the whole burden upon us
إِنَّناindeed we قَومٌa people إِذاwhen ماever (emphasis)
إِنَّنا قَومٌ إِذا ما
صَعُبَbecame difficult الأَمرُthe matter كَفَيناwe sufficed
صَعُبَ الأَمرُ كَفَينا
Indeed, we are a people who, whenever
We are a people, whenever
the task grows hard, prove equal to it.
The matter becomes difficult, we suffice
وَإِذاand when ماever (emphasis) ريمَwas sought مِنّاfrom us
وَإِذا ما ريمَ مِنّا
مَوطِنُplace الذُلِّhumiliation أَبَيناwe refused
مَوطِنُ الذُلِّ أَبَينا
And whenever we are asked to accept
And whenever we are called
a place of humiliation, we refuse.
The abode of humiliation, we refuse
وَإِذاand when ماever (emphasis) هَدَمَdemolished العِزglory (word continues)
وَإِذا ما هَدَمَ العِز
زَcompletion of 'glory' بَنوsons of العِزِّglory بَنَيناwe built
زَ بَنو العِزِّ بَنَينا
And whenever glory is torn down
And whenever honor is destroyed
by the sons of glory, we rebuild it.
The people of honor rebuild it
