أَجمِلي يا أُمَّ عَمرٍ

أَجمِلي يا أُمَّ عَمرٍ

زادَكِ اللَهُ جَمالا

زادَكِ اللَهُ جَمالا

Be gracious, O Umm Amr;

may God increase your beauty.

لاتَبيعيني بِرُخصٍ

لاتَبيعيني بِرُخصٍ

إِنَّ في مِثلي يُغالى

إِنَّ في مِثلي يُغالى

Do not sell me cheaply;

indeed, one like me commands a high price.

أَنا إِن جُدتِ بِوَصلٍ

أَنا إِن جُدتِ بِوَصلٍ

أَحسَنُ العالَمِ حالا

أَحسَنُ العالَمِ حالا

If you generously grant me union, I shall be

the most fortunate in the world.
