شُهودِيَ وَالأَرواحُ غَيرُ لَوابِثِ
Ah, would that my people—and wishes are many—
Oh if only my people knew, though wishes are plentiful,
were witnesses to me, while souls do not linger,
My witnesses and souls change and do not endure,

And return me to the peak of glory and reward all oath-breakers,
أَحارِثُO Harith إِنif لَمnot تُصدِرِyou bring back الرَمحَthe spear قانِياًblood-red

وَلَم تَدفَعِ الجُلى فَلَستَ بِحارِثِ
“O Harith, if you do not bring back the spear blood-red,
If you do not thrust your spear with courage
and do not ward off the great calamity, you are no Harith.”
And repel injustice, then you are no warrior
