وَجُلَّنارٍand pomegranate blossom مُشرِقٍradiant
وَجُلَّنارٍ مُشرِقٍ
عَلىon أَعاليthe tops of شَجَرَهits trees
عَلى أَعالي شَجَرَه
And radiant pomegranate blossom
Bright flames
on the tops of its trees,
Blazing atop its tree’s heights
كَأَنَّas though فيin رُؤوسِهِits tips
كَأَنَّ في رُؤوسِهِ
أَصفَرَهُits yellow وَأَحمَرَهand its red
أَصفَرَهُ وَأَحمَرَه
as though, at its tips,
As if in its treetops
its yellow and its red were
Were yellow and red
فُراضَةًfilings مِنof ذَهَبٍgold
فُراضَةً مِن ذَهَبٍ
فيin خِرَقٍrags مُعَصفَرَهsafflower-dyed
في خِرَقٍ مُعَصفَرَه
filings of gold
Delicate gold brocade
in safflower-dyed rags.
