نَبوَةَa slight الإِدلالِfond presumption لَيسَتis not
نَبوَةَ الإِدلالِ لَيسَت
عِندَناin our view ذَنباًa fault يُعَدُّis counted
عِندَنا ذَنباً يُعَدُّ
A slight born of fond presumption is not
The prophecy of guidance is not for us a sin to count
counted a fault by us.
Say to him who has no covenant with us, we have a covenant and pact
قُلsay لِمَنto the one who لَيسَthere is no لَهُfor him عَهpledge (first part)
قُل لِمَن لَيسَ لَهُ عَه
دٌpledge (remaining part) لَناfor us عَهدٌa pledge وَعَقدُand a pact
دٌ لَنا عَهدٌ وَعَقدُ
Tell the one who has no pledge:
In short, I have no need to detail what I have no need for you to know
We have a pledge and a pact.
If you change, nothing of our covenant to you changes
جُملَةٌa summary نُغنيwe dispense عَنِwith التَفthe detail (first part)
جُملَةٌ نُغني عَنِ التَف
صيلِdetail (remaining part) ماليI have no عَنكَwithout you بُدُّalternative
صيلِ مالي عَنكَ بُدُّ
In brief, we dispense with detail:
I cannot do without you.
إِنif تَغَيَّرتَyou have changed فَماthen not غُيwas altered (first part)
إِن تَغَيَّرتَ فَما غُي
يِرَwas altered (remaining part) مِنّاby us لَكَto you عَهدُa pledge
يِرَ مِنّا لَكَ عَهدُ
If you have changed, then no
pledge to you has been altered by us.
