1. الملكُ للعربْ

    والفَضلُ للنَّبي

    Sovereignty belongs to the Arabs,

    And the credit to the Prophet;

  2. فهوَ الذي كَتَبْ

    يا أمّتي اركبي

    For he is the one who wrote:

    O my nation, mount up,

  3. وعرِّبي الأممْ

    بالفَتحِ والظَّفَر

    And Arabize the nations

    Through conquest and victory;

  4. فأنتِ من قِدَمْ

    سيِّدَةُ البَشَر

    For you, since ancient times,

    Have been the mistress of humankind.

  5. الأرضُ ملكٌ للعربْ

    واللهُ يُعطي مَن يَشاءْ

    The earth is the Arabs' possession,

    And God gives to whomever He wills.

  6. جيشُ الأعادي قد هَرَب

    وافترَّ عهدُ الخُلفاء

    The army of the enemies has fled,

    And the age of the caliphs smiled.

  7. فهي إليهم ترجعُ

    والحقُّ أعلى أعظَمْ

    So it returns to them,

    And truth is loftier and greater.

  8. بينَ ذويها يَجمَعُ

    نطقٌ ودينٌ ودَمُ

    Its people are bound together by

    Language, religion, and blood.

  9. كم أخرَجَت أرضُ الرسول

    في غَزوةٍ أبطالَها

    How often the Messenger's land has sent forth

    Its heroes on a campaign!

  10. والأرضُ من عَدوِ الخُيول

    قد زُلزِلت زلزَالَها

    And the earth, from the horses' galloping,

    Has been shaken with its own quake.

  11. مِنَ الحِجازِ الفتحُ كانْ

    ومِنهُ يوماً سَيَكونْ

    From the Hijaz came conquest,

    And from it, one day, it will come.

  12. وإنَّ في صَدرِ الزَّمان

    زَوبَعةً بعدَ السّكُون

    And indeed, in the breast of time,

    There is a whirlwind after stillness.

  13. القَفرُ في طيَّاتِهِ

    خَيرَ السُلالات حَفَظ

    The desert, within its folds,

    Preserved the finest lineages.

  14. والدَّهرُ عن نيّاتهِ

    أعرَبَ لمّا أن لفَظ

    And time, concerning its intentions,

    Made them plain when it spoke.

  15. فالرَّملُ بحرٌ يَزخرُ

    وهيَ لهُ جَزرٌ ومَدّ

    For the sand is a surging sea,

    And she is its ebb and flow.

  16. الخيرُ فيها يَزخُرُ

    والبأسُ مِنها يُستَمدّ

    Goodness surges within her,

    And valor is drawn from her.

  17. أمُّ القرى مِنها بَدَت

    كالشَّمسِ إِبَّانَ الطلوع

    Umm al-Qura emerged from her,

    Like the sun at its rising.

  18. رايةُ حقٍّ وحَّدَت

    في ظِلِّها كلَّ الجموع

    A banner of truth united

    Beneath its shade all the multitudes.

  19. بَعدَ احمِرارٍ في الحروب

    مِنها اخضِرارُ المربعِ

    After reddening in wars,

    From her comes the greening of the spring pasture.

  20. فهي لنا بين الخطوب

    إرثُ دَمٍ أو مَدمعِ

    So, for us amid calamities, she is

    An inheritance of blood or tears.

  21. أعداؤنا سَلُّوا الشِّفار

    كي يَقلعوا أدواحَنا

    Our enemies unsheathed their blades

    To uproot our great trees.

  22. إن يَفصِلوا منّا الديار

    لن يَفصلوا أَرواحَنا

    If they sever the lands from us,

    They will not sever our souls.

  23. جمعُ القوى بالاتِّحاد

    عزَّت به كلُّ الدول

    The gathering of forces through unity—

    Through it all states have grown mighty.

  24. مملكةٌ هذي البلاد

    ونحن أهلُوها الأُوَل

    These lands are a kingdom,

    And we are their original inhabitants.

  25. نجدٌ حِجازٌ ويمن

    مصرٌ شآمٌ وعِراق

    Najd, Hijaz, and Yemen,

    Egypt, Sham, and Iraq:

  26. ملكٌ وميراثٌ لمن

    تعدُو بهم خَيلٌ عِتاق

    A domain and an inheritance for those

    Whom noble-bred horses bear at a gallop.

  27. وكلُّ أرضِ المغربِ

    للدَّولةِ الكُبرى جناح

    And all the land of the Maghreb

    Is a wing of the great state.

  28. من فاسَ حتى يَثربِ

    توحيدُ حكمٍ وسِلاح

    From Fez to Yathrib:

    Unification of rule and arms.

  29. العربُ في أوطانِها

    تصبُو إلى العهدِ القديم

    The Arabs in their homelands

    Yearn for the ancient age.

  30. عدنانُ مع قَحطانِها

    يَسترجعُ الملك الفخيم

    Adnan, with their Qahtan,

    Reclaims the majestic kingdom.

  31. إنَّ الدماءَ الطاهرة

    أثمانُ هاتيكَ الفتوح

    Indeed, the pure blood

    Is the price of those conquests.

  32. وفي الربوعِ الداثِرة

    آثارُ سلطان تلوح

    And in the ruined abodes

    Traces of dominion shine forth.

  33. كلُّ فتى يَتلو السُّور

    يُرجى لأيّامِ الأزَم

    Every youth who recites the surahs

    Is looked to in days of hardship.

  34. لا خيرَ في حسنِ الصُّوَر

    إن لم توافقها الشِّيم

    There is no good in fair appearances

    If virtues do not match them.

  35. عن كلِّ شَهمٍ باسلِ

    يَرضى الرسولُ المُصطفى

    With every noble-hearted, valiant man

    The chosen Messenger is pleased,

  36. إن دَكَّ صرحَ الباطلِ

    والحقُّ بالسيفِ اشتفَى

    If he demolishes the edifice of falsehood

    And truth finds healing through the sword.

  37. يا عربُ مع قوادِكم

    سيروا جميعا في النَّفير

    O Arabs, with your commanders,

    March all together at the call to arms;

  38. فالبيضُ في أغمادِكم

    تهتَزُّ للثأرِ الكبير

    For the bright blades in your scabbards

    Quiver for the great vengeance.

  39. وفي صفوفِ العَسكرِ

    يمشي وَضيعٌ ورفيع

    And in the ranks of the army

    The lowly and the exalted march.

  40. الفَوزُ فَوزُ العُنصرِ

    والنَّفعُ منهُ للجميع

    Victory is the race's victory,

    And its benefit is for all.

  41. خَيلُ العلوجِ الفَجَرَه

    أطهَرَ أرضٍ دنَّست

    The horses of the wicked barbarians

    Defiled the purest land;

  42. داست قلوبَ البرره

    بعدَ عرابٍ حبست

    They trampled the hearts of the righteous

    After Arabian steeds had been confined.

  43. لبّوا دعاءً مِن عَلِ

    وامشوا على أثرِ الجدود

    Answer a call from on high,

    And walk in the footsteps of the ancestors.

  44. الملكُ وَسطَ الجَحفلِ

    والعزُّ في ظلِّ البنود

    Sovereignty lies amid the mighty host,

    And glory in the shade of the banners.

  45. اللهُ أكبرُ اركبوا

    للخَيرِ من دُنيا ودين

    God is greatest—mount up!

    For the good of worldly life and religion.

  46. واستَبسِلوا واستَعذبوا

    مَوتاً لتَحيَوا خالدين

    And be valiant, and relish

    Death, so that you may live immortal.

  47. ما الموتُ في حبّ الوطن

    إلا حياةُ المُفتدي

    Death for love of the homeland is nothing

    But the life of one who sacrifices himself.

  48. والعَلَمُ الهادي كفَن

    للباسلِ المُستَشهد

    And the guiding flag is a shroud

    For the valiant martyr.

  49. لكن أعِدُّوا للعِدَى

    ما هم مُعِدُّونَ لكم

    But prepare for the enemies

    What they are preparing for you.

  50. إنّ اختراعاتِ الرّدى

    لا تعرفُ استبسالكم

    Indeed, the inventions of death

    Do not recognize your valor.

  51. يومَ قَصيفِ المدفعه

    يخفتُ في الجيشِ الصليل

    On the day of the cannon's thunder,

    The clang fades within the army.

  52. لا ظفرٌ في المعمَعَه

    حتى بما كالوا تكيل

    There is no victory in the fray

    Until you mete out what they have meted out.

  53. اليومَ قد أخزى السيوف

    قذّافُ نارٍ وحديد

    Today the swords have been put to shame

    By a hurler of fire and iron;

  54. يحصدُ حصداً في الصفوف

    والأرضُ حَوليهِ تميد

    It reaps a harvest in the ranks,

    And the earth around it sways.

  55. فأكثِروا منهُ إذا

    سرتم إلى يومِ الحساب

    So gather plenty of it when

    You march to the day of reckoning.

  56. في جَوفِهِ دَفعُ الأذى

    وهو المرجّى والمجاب

    Within its belly lies the warding off of harm,

    And it is what is hoped for and granted.
