تلكَ العشائرُ والقبائلُ لم تكن

إلا فروع الدوحةِ المخضلَّة

Those clans and tribes were

Nothing but branches of the luxuriant tree,

حتى إذا الإسلامُ وَحَّدَ مُلكَها

ضمَّ الفروعَ إلى أصولٍ جلَّت

Until, when Islam unified their realm,

It joined the branches to exalted roots.

It gathered the branches to glorious roots

أبناءُ سامٍ كلُّهم عربٌ وقد

أبناءُ سامٍ كلُّهم عربٌ وقد

صحَّت عروبتُهُم لبعدِ العلَّة

صحَّت عروبتُهُم لبعدِ العلَّة

The sons of Shem are all Arabs, and indeed

Arabness was proven by the distant cause

قُل للذين تعمَّدوا تفريقَهُم

لن تَنجَحوا بعدَ اللُّتيّا والُّتَي

Tell those who deliberately sought to divide them:

Say to those who deliberately divided them

You will not succeed, after all that toil and trouble.

You will not succeed after adversity and prosperity
