رجال لا تهولهم المنايا

رجال لا تهولهم المنايا

ولا يُشجيهم الأمر المخوف

ولا يُشجيهم الأمر المخوف

Men whom death itself cannot daunt,

Men whom death does not terrify,

Men whom death does not appall

nor does the fearful ordeal distress;

Nor does the dreaded ordeal grieve them;

Nor dreadful happenings make sad,

وطعن بالقنا الخطيّ حتى

وطعن بالقنا الخطيّ حتى

تحل بمن أخافكم الحتوف

تحل بمن أخافكم الحتوف

and spear-thrusts with lances of al-Khaṭṭ, until

And thrusting with Khatti spears, until

Thrust with the well-ground sword blade till

the deaths descend upon whoever frightened you.

Death befalls whoever frightened you.

Destruction comes on him who scared you

ونصر الله عصمتنا جميعاً

ونصر الله عصمتنا جميعاً

وبالرحمن ينتصر اللهيف

وبالرحمن ينتصر اللهيف

God’s aid is the safeguard of us all,

And God's aid is the safeguard of us all,

And God gave us all protection

and through the All-Merciful, the desperate find victory.

And through the All-Merciful the distressed prevail.

And through the Merciful, the feeble wins.
