بِأَبي وَأُمّي غَيرَ قَولِ الباطِلِ
الكامِلُthe perfect man اِبنُson of الكامِلِthe perfect man اِبنِson of الكامِلِthe perfect man
الكامِلُ اِبنُ الكامِلِ اِبنِ الكامِلِ
May my father and mother be his ransom—I speak no falsehood—
By my parents, nothing but the truth
The perfect man, son of the perfect, son of the perfect;
The perfect son of the perfect, son of the perfect
وَالحازِمُand the one who resolves الأَمرُthe affair الكَريمَnoble بِرَأيِهِthrough his judgment
وَالحازِمُ الأَمرُ الكَريمَ بِرَأيِهِ
وَالواصِلُand the upholder الأَرحامَkinship ties وَاِبنُand son of الواصِلِthe upholder
وَالواصِلُ الأَرحامَ وَاِبنُ الواصِلِ
And he who resolves noble affairs through his judgment,
And the resolute, the noble in his opinion
And upholds kinship ties, and is the son of one who upholds them.
And the one who connects relations, and son of the connector
جَمَعَhe united الرِئاسَةَleadership وَالسَماحَand generosity كِلَيهِماboth of them
جَمَعَ الرِئاسَةَ وَالسَماحَ كِلَيهِما
جَمعَthe gathering of الجَفيرِthe quiver قِداحَshafts نَبلِarrows النابِلِthe archer
جَمعَ الجَفيرِ قِداحَ نَبلِ النابِلِ
He united leadership and generosity, both,
He gathered leadership and generosity, both of them
As a quiver gathers the shafts of the archer’s arrows.
He gathered the quivers, arrows of the archer's arrows
