وأغيدَand a supple youth منamong أبناءِthe sons of لحظةَLaḥẓa شادنٍa young gazelle
وأغيدَ من أبناءِ لحظةَ شادنٍ
ينوءsways heavily كماjust as يَعطوreaches out بخُوطَتهwith its slender bough البانُthe bān tree
ينوء كما يَعطو بخُوطَته البانُ
And a supple youth among Laḥẓa’s sons, a young gazelle,
Sways as the bān tree reaches out with its slender bough.
وَدابتُهand his mount مهراقةٌspilled out خلفbehind ظهرهhis back
وَدابتُه مهراقةٌ خلف ظهره
كماjust as التفَّcoiled بالغصنِaround the branch المنعمِtender ثُعبانُa serpent
كما التفَّ بالغصنِ المنعمِ ثُعبانُ
And his mount lies spilled out behind his back,
Like a serpent coiled around a tender branch.
