بشرايَ هذا لِواءٌ قَلَّ ما عُقِدا

بشرايَ هذا لِواءٌ قَلَّ ما عُقِدا

إلا ومد لَهُ الروحُ الأمينُ يدا

إلا ومد لَهُ الروحُ الأمينُ يدا

Glad tidings for me! This is a banner scarcely ever raised

My good tidings, this is a banner rarely furled

Without the Trustworthy Spirit extending him a hand.

Except as the faithful spirit reached out its hand

وأقبل النصرُ لا يعدو مناحيه

وأقبل النصرُ لا يعدو مناحيه

فحيث ما قصدت راياتُه قَصَدا

فحيث ما قصدت راياتُه قَصَدا

And victory came, never straying beyond his paths;

And victory comes not going beyond its coasts

So wherever his banners headed, victory headed too.

So wherever its flags aim, it aims straight and true

واستقبَلَتهُ تباشيرُ الفتوحِ فَقَد

واستقبَلَتهُ تباشيرُ الفتوحِ فَقَد

كادت تكونُ على أكتافه لَبَدا

كادت تكونُ على أكتافه لَبَدا

And the glad signs of conquests greeted him; indeed,

And the omens of conquest come out to meet it

They almost formed dense heaps upon his shoulders.

Almost carried on its shoulders in plain view

وقَرَّبَ الفَلَكُ الدّوَارُ بُغيَتَه

وقَرَّبَ الفَلَكُ الدّوَارُ بُغيَتَه

فَلَو تَنَاوَلَ بَعضَ الشُهبِ ما بَعُدا

فَلَو تَنَاوَلَ بَعضَ الشُهبِ ما بَعُدا

And the revolving celestial sphere brought his goal within reach;

The turning heavens brought near its wish

So had he reached for some shooting stars, they would not have been far away.

As if grasping some meteors not far askew

إمام جيشٍ أراد اللَه نصرتَهُ

إمام جيشٍ أراد اللَه نصرتَهُ

فأرسلَ المَلأ الأعلى لهُ مَددا

فأرسلَ المَلأ الأعلى لهُ مَددا

Commander of an army—God willed his victory,

The leader of an army whose victory Allah willed

So He sent the Highest Assembly as reinforcements for him.

So the highest assembly sent it support anew

إني لأحكم بالنصرِ العزيز لَهُ

إني لأحكم بالنصرِ العزيز لَهُ

وإن سَكَت فإنَّ الوحيَ قد شهدا

وإن سَكَت فإنَّ الوحيَ قد شهدا

Indeed, I judge that mighty victory is his;

I judge with certainty of mighty victory for it

And even if I fall silent, revelation has already borne witness.

Though silent, revelation itself attests it true
