تراه عيني وكفي لا يباشرُه

تراه عيني وكفي لا يباشرُه

حتى كأني في المرآة أبصرُهُ

حتى كأني في المرآة أبصرُهُ

My eye sees him, yet my palm does not touch him,

My eyes behold him, my hand cannot touch,

So that it is as though I see him in a mirror.

As if in a mirror, I see his image as such
