أَنَا أُنسٌ لِقَعُودٍ

I am solace for those who sit.

I am a drink for those who come to water.

أَنَا كَالدُّرِ وَلكِن

أَنَا كَالدُّرِ وَلكِن

أَنَا مِن صَخرٍ شَدِيد

أَنَا مِن صَخرٍ شَدِيد

I am like pearls, and yet

I am from hard rock.

لِكَلِيم اللهِ مُوسَى

لِكَلِيم اللهِ مُوسَى

كُنتُ فِي العَصرِ البَعِيدِ

كُنتُ فِي العَصرِ البَعِيدِ

For Moses, who spoke with God,

I was there in the distant age,

إِذ تَفَجَّرتُ بِمَاءٍ

إِذ تَفَجَّرتُ بِمَاءٍ

سَلسَلٍ عَذبٍ بَرُودِ

سَلسَلٍ عَذبٍ بَرُودِ

when I burst forth with water,

smooth-flowing, sweet, and cool.

آيَةً لِلنَّاسِ كَانَت

آيَةً لِلنَّاسِ كَانَت

لِشَقِيٍّ أَو سَعِيدس

لِشَقِيٍّ أَو سَعِيدس

A sign it was for humankind,

for the wretched or the fortunate.
