Never have I seen a robe like the peach’s,
I have never seen a cloak like the peach's;
I have not seen a horse like yours,
As though it had made its home in the Zab.
As though it had dwelt in al-Zab.
As if it has lived in flowing robes,
منfrom طرفيهits two ends يتأتّىcomes about اسمُهُits name
من طرفيه يتأتّى اسمُهُ

فإِن تفطنت له ثابا
From its two ends its name is formed—
Its name comes from its two ends;
From its flanks comes its name,
And if you discern it, it comes back to mind.
So if you ponder it, it comes back to mind.
So if you are perceptive of it, excellent.
