فاصعدso climb up اليهاto it باسماsmiling واسخرand mock بماat what
فاصعد اليها باسما واسخر بما
تصغىyou listen to لَدىas تَقبيلهاkissing it منof شقشقهbabble
تصغى لَدى تَقبيلها من شقشقه
So climb up to it smiling, and mock whatever
Ascend it with courage, and scorn its cruel leer,
babble you hear as you kiss it.
The rattle it makes when you kiss it goodbye.
