سوء التصرف لِلقَلاقل باعث

وَهيَ الكَوارِث فَوقَ راس الظالم

وَهيَ الكَوارِث فَوقَ راس الظالم

Bad conduct gives rise to disturbances;

Ill behavior causes much unrest

and they are calamities over the oppressor's head.

And brings disaster upon the oppressor's head

خذ ما رايت من الزَمان نماذجا

خذ ما رايت من الزَمان نماذجا

واحكم فَفيها عبرة للحاكم

واحكم فَفيها عبرة للحاكم

Take what you have seen of time as examples,

Take examples from what you've seen of time

and judge, for in them lies a lesson for the ruler.
