لاحت شموس المشاهده

وزال إشكالها الشهود

وزال إشكالها الشهود

The suns of witnessing shone forth,

The visions' suns have shone,

And witnessing dispelled its obscurity.

And their perplexities have gone.

وأبدت يقينا محققا

وأبدت يقينا محققا

من غير ريب ولا جحود

من غير ريب ولا جحود

And they revealed a certainty firmly established,

They have shown a realized certainty,

Without doubt or denial:

Without doubt or denial.

بأنه الواحد الأحد

بأنه الواحد الأحد

من قبل أن يوجد الوجود

من قبل أن يوجد الوجود

That He is the One, the Unique,

That He is the One, the Unique,

Before existence was brought into being.

Before existence itself existed.

مظاهر الآخر الأبد

مظاهر الآخر الأبد

الأوّل الأزلي يعود

الأوّل الأزلي يعود

The manifestations of the Last, the Everlasting—

The manifestations of the Eternal Other,

The First, the Beginningless, returns.

To the First, the Everlasting, return.

فقف وقل لا سواه قط

فقف وقل لا سواه قط

في كلّ ما يمنع أو يجود

في كلّ ما يمنع أو يجود

So pause and say: 'None but Him, ever,'

So stand and say none but Him,

In all that He withholds or bestows.

In all that gives or holds back.

وكن له عبداً مطلقا

وكن له عبداً مطلقا

ان العلل كلها قيود

ان العلل كلها قيود

And be His servant without reserve;

And be to Him an absolute servant,

Indeed, all causes are fetters.

For causations are but shackles.

يا حبذا منهل الرضى

يا حبذا منهل الرضى

في مصدري وفي ورود

في مصدري وفي ورود

Ah, how lovely the watering place of contentment,

Oh, blessed is the fountain of contentment,

At my departure and my coming to drink.

In my sources and in its outpourings.

ومن رقى رتبة الرضا

ومن رقى رتبة الرضا

فقد رقى غاية الصعود

فقد رقى غاية الصعود

And whoever ascends to the rank of contentment

And whoever ascends to contentment's rank,

Has indeed reached the summit of ascent.

Has ascended the peak of ascents.

لا همّ لا غمّ يعتريه

لا همّ لا غمّ يعتريه

غير المسرّات والسعود

غير المسرّات والسعود

No worry, no sorrow assails him—

No care or sorrow afflicts him,

Only joys and good fortune.

Except joys and bliss.

فهو بجنات أنسه

فهو بجنات أنسه

وبعدها جنة الخلود

وبعدها جنة الخلود

Thus he is in the gardens of His companionship,

He is in gardens of intimacy,

And after them, the Garden of Eternity.

And beyond them, the garden of eternity.

لا حول لا حول يا فتى

لا حول لا حول يا فتى

ماذى القساوات والجمود

ماذى القساوات والجمود

No power, no power, O youth!

No might nor power, O youth!

What is this hardness of heart and torpor?

What is with harshness and rigidity?

نخوض في كل ظلمة

نخوض في كل ظلمة

وأوقاتنا بالبعاد سود

وأوقاتنا بالبعاد سود

We wade through every darkness,

We wade through every darkness,

And our hours are black with separation.

And our times are black with distance.

نحقق الشيء وننكره

نحقق الشيء وننكره

أيقاظ في حلية الرقود

أيقاظ في حلية الرقود

We ascertain a thing, yet deny it,

We verify a thing and deny it,

Awake, in the garb of sleepers.

Awake in the garb of sleep.

ولا نعظم شعائره

ولا نعظم شعائره

ولا وقوف مع الحدود

ولا وقوف مع الحدود

Nor do we revere His sacred rites,

And we don't revere His sacraments,

Nor do we abide by the bounds.

Nor standing at the boundaries.

بل عاد فضله وجوده

بل عاد فضله وجوده

فجوده أصل كلّ جود

فجوده أصل كلّ جود

Yet His grace and generosity return,

Rather, His bounty and existence returned,

For His generosity is the root of all generosity.

For His generosity is the origin of all generosity.

أستغفر اللَه دائماً

أستغفر اللَه دائماً

مع قيام ومع قعود

مع قيام ومع قعود

I always seek God's forgiveness,

I seek Allah's forgiveness always,

While standing and while sitting.

While standing and while sitting.

تمت وصلوا على النبي

تمت وصلوا على النبي

ما جلجلت في السحب رعود

ما جلجلت في السحب رعود

It is finished; send blessings upon the Prophet,

It is complete, send prayers upon the Prophet,

As long as thunderclaps resound in the clouds.

As thunder roared in the clouds.
