هبت نسيمات الوصال يا صاح

هبت نسيمات الوصال يا صاح

من سوح حضرات الرضى والأفراح

من سوح حضرات الرضى والأفراح

The breezes of union have blown, O friend,

The breezes of intimacy have blown, O friend,

From the courtyards of the presences of contentment and joy.

From the gardens of contentment and joys,

وطاب شرب العارفين للرّاح

وطاب شرب العارفين للرّاح

من قهوة فيها حياة الأرواح

من قهوة فيها حياة الأرواح

And drinking wine became sweet to the knowers,

And the drinking of the mystics was sweetened with comfort

From a wine in which the life of spirits dwells.

From coffee wherein lies the life of souls,

ذي قهوة كاساتها المعارف

ذي قهوة كاساتها المعارف

ولا يذقها غير كلّ عارف

ولا يذقها غير كلّ عارف

This is a wine whose cups are spiritual insights,

The coffee whose cups are knowledges,

And none but a knower may taste it.

And none taste it but every mystic,

صارت لأهل المعرفه رواشف

صارت لأهل المعرفه رواشف

يسكر بها من له قليب يرتاح

يسكر بها من له قليب يرتاح

It became draughts for the people of gnosis;

It has become refreshing for the people of mysticism,

Whoever has a little heart that finds rest is intoxicated by it.

He who has a heart gets drunk with it and rests,

لما بدا من قعر دنها أنوار

لما بدا من قعر دنها أنوار

ميطت عن العشاق حجب الاستار

ميطت عن العشاق حجب الاستار

When lights appeared from the depths of its wine jar,

When the lights started to appear from the depths of the world,

The veils of concealment were lifted from the lovers,

The veils were lifted from the lovers,

واشتمت الأرواح خمر الاسرار

واشتمت الأرواح خمر الاسرار

ظهر بها العلم اللدني ايضاح

ظهر بها العلم اللدني ايضاح

And the spirits inhaled the wine of secrets.

And the souls smelled the wine of the secrets,

Through it, divinely bestowed knowledge became clear.

Through it the inherent knowledge became clear,

هذه علوم الكشف والحقيقه

هذه علوم الكشف والحقيقه

في محض زبد الشرع والطريقه

في محض زبد الشرع والطريقه

These are the sciences of unveiling and spiritual truth,

These are the sciences of mysticism and truth,

In the pure cream of sacred law and the spiritual path.

In the essence of religion and path,

من لا شريعة له فلا حقيقة

من لا شريعة له فلا حقيقة

الافساد محض ما به اصلاح

الافساد محض ما به اصلاح

Whoever has no sacred law has no spiritual truth:

Whoever has no law, has no truth,

It is sheer corruption, with no rectification in it.

Corruption is pure, no reform in it,

فلا يغرك كثرة التلابيس

فلا يغرك كثرة التلابيس

من قوم اغوتهم زخارف ابليس

من قوم اغوتهم زخارف ابليس

So do not let the multitude of deceptions beguile you,

So let not the many deceptions deceive you,

From people led astray by Iblis's glittering adornments.

Of a people led astray by the ornaments of Satan,

أهل التصوف ما هم أهل تنكيس

أهل التصوف ما هم أهل تنكيس

الا على طرق الهدى والايضاح

الا على طرق الهدى والايضاح

The people of Sufism do not turn things upside down;

The Sufis are not the people of humility,

They are only on the paths of guidance and clarity.

Except on the paths of guidance and clarification,

هذه حقيقة فاغتنمها تسعد

هذه حقيقة فاغتنمها تسعد

واتبع كلام اللَه لا تردّد

واتبع كلام اللَه لا تردّد

This is truth: so seize it, and you will be happy.

This is the truth, so take advantage of it and you will be happy,

And follow God's word; do not hesitate.

And follow the word of Allah, do not hesitate,

وكل ما في العالمين ينفد

وكل ما في العالمين ينفد

إلا كلام اللَه سوق الارباح

إلا كلام اللَه سوق الارباح

And all that is in the worlds will come to an end,

And everything in the two worlds will perish,

Except God's word—the marketplace of profits.

Except the word of Allah, the place of profits,

وكل علم لم يكن دليله

وكل علم لم يكن دليله

عن قول ربّ العرش أو رسوله

عن قول ربّ العرش أو رسوله

And any knowledge whose proof does not come

And any knowledge that does not have as its proof,

From the words of the Lord of the Throne or His Messenger,

The saying of the Lord of the Throne or His Messenger,

وعن ثقات العلم أو عدوله

وعن ثقات العلم أو عدوله

اقطع بضعفه واجتنبه يا صاح

اقطع بضعفه واجتنبه يا صاح

And from trustworthy or upright authorities in learning,

Or the trusted scholars or the just ones,

Be certain of its weakness and avoid it, O friend.

I am sure of its weakness, so avoid it O friend,

العلم في التوحيد لا كمثله

العلم في التوحيد لا كمثله

شيء وكلّ الكائنات فعله

شيء وكلّ الكائنات فعله

Knowledge lies in divine oneness: like Him there is no

The knowledge of Tawheed has no equal,

Thing; and all existing things are His doing.

Everything is His creation,

النار عدله والجنان فضله

النار عدله والجنان فضله

أرسل محمد للفلاح مفتاح

أرسل محمد للفلاح مفتاح

The Fire is His justice, and the Gardens are His grace.

Hellfire is His justice and Paradise His grace,

He sent Muhammad as a key to salvation.

He sent Mohammed with the key to success,
