1. هبت نسيم الملاطفه

    من منتهى حضرة القبول

    The breeze of tender kindness blew,

    From the utmost reaches of the presence of acceptance.

  2. ودار في الحال كأسه

    وآذن الحب بالوصول

    And at once His cup went round,

    And love heralded arrival.

  3. وطابت النفس باللقا

    بكلّ مطلب وكلّ سول

    And the soul was gladdened by the meeting,

    With every aim and every wish.

  4. وصحّ ما لا نعبره

    تضيق عن شرحه العقول

    And what we cannot express proved true;

    Minds are too limited to explain it.

  5. عرفه من كان ذاقه

    وينحصر فيه من يقول

    Whoever has tasted it knows it,

    And whoever speaks of it is at a loss.

  6. فيا هنيئاً لذائقه

    وحسرة الغائب الجهول

    So, bliss to the one who tastes it!

    And sorrow for the absent, ignorant one!

  7. وكم عجائب بغيبه

    وشرحها يا فتى يطول

    And how many wonders lie in His unseen realm!

    And explaining them, young man, would take long.

  8. كم شخص تنظره حاضراً

    وروحه في العلا تجول

    How many a person you see present,

    While his spirit roams the heights!

  9. نور الجلالات والجمال

    قد شاهدتها عين الفحول

    The light of majestic splendors and beauty

    Has indeed been beheld by the eye of the masters.

  10. وصلوا وطابوا بقربه

    وصول حق بلا حلول

    They arrived and rejoiced in His nearness—

    A true attainment, without indwelling.

  11. آه فيا حرقة الفواد

    والجسم قد شفه النحول

    Ah, how the heart burns!

    And wasting has worn the body thin,

  12. إذ لم أشاهد شهودهم

    وسف من صافي النهول

    For I have not witnessed what they witnessed,

    Nor sipped from the pure draught.

  13. تمت وصلوا على النبي

    الفاتح الخاتم الرسول

    It is complete; send blessings upon the Prophet,

    The Opener, the Seal, the Messenger,

  14. الهادي الوافي التقى

    تاج المفاخر أبي البتول

    The Guide, the Faithful, the Devout,

    The crown of glories, father of al-Batul.
