I attained my wishes and certainty
I attained wishes and certainty
through nearness to our master.
By being near our Master
هذاthis التقىthe pious one الأمينthe trustworthy one
هذا التقى الأمين
اللَهGod بهthrough him أولاناfavored us
اللَه به أولانا
This pious, trustworthy one—
This trusted one of righteous dignity
God has favored us through him.
God has made him our Patron
رحبspacious الجنابthe court المكينfirmly established
رحب الجناب المكين
يمناblessing وايماناand faith
يمنا وايمانا
Ample in hospitality, firmly established
His noble self of power and victory
in blessing and faith.
Blessed us right and faith
لازالmay he remain طولthroughout السنينthe years
لازال طول السنين
فيin الملكthe realm سلطاناa sultan
في الملك سلطانا
May he remain throughout the years
For many long years certainly
a sultan in the realm,
He rules as Sultan
محروسguarded فيin كلevery حينmoment
محروس في كل حين
دهراًfor an age وأزماناand ages
دهراً وأزمانا
guarded at every moment,
Protected always undoubtedly
for an age and ages.
Through eras and times
ربّLord of السماheaven الهGod معينa helper
ربّ السما اله معين
لمdid not يخشfear شيطاناa devil
لم يخش شيطانا
The Lord of heaven is God, who gives aid;
Lord of the heavens, God the helper is he
he has feared no devil.
Never fearing Satan
لازالmay he remain سمحgenerous اليمينthe right hand
لازال سمح اليمين
بالجودwith generosity هتاناpouring abundantly
بالجود هتانا
May he remain generous of right hand,
Forever kind and lenient is he
raining down generosity;
With generosity enchanting us
وجملةand all of الصالحينthe righteous
وجملة الصالحين
لنصرهin support of him أعواناhelpers
لنصره أعوانا
and all the righteous
And leader of the righteous is he
be helpers in supporting him.
Supporting him as aides
ندعوwe call upon الكريمthe Generous One المبينthe Manifest One
ندعو الكريم المبين
يزيدهhe increases him إحساناgoodness
يزيده إحسانا
We call upon the Generous, the Manifest,
We pray to the generous and lucid being
to increase him in goodness.
To increase his benevolence
للدّينfor the faith عدلهhis justice مزينadorning
للدّين عدله مزين
وزانand adorned دنياناour world
وزان دنيانا
His justice adorns the faith
With his justice adorning religion
and has adorned our world.
And worldly affairs balancing
فيamong الناسthe people طلقcheerful الجبينthe brow
في الناس طلق الجبين
سيدmaster of الأقراناthe peers
سيد الأقرانا
Among the people, cheerful of brow,
Among people open and serene is he
master of his peers.
Master of peers
هذاthis one حياrain المجدبينthe drought-stricken
هذا حيا المجدبين
هتانهhis downpour أرواناquenched our thirst
هتانه أروانا
This one is rain for the drought-stricken;
He who revived the despondent
his downpour has quenched our thirst.
