  1. البارحة يا صاح

    غنت على غصن النقا حمامه

    Last night, O my friend

    A dove sang on the branch of a wild plum tree

  2. ونكت الأجراح

    وغيبت عن ناظري منامه

    And healed the wounds

    And took away my dream from my sight

  3. وذكرت الأفراح

    ولا علينا في الهوى ملامه

    And reminded me of joy

    And for me in love, there is no blame for it

  4. باللَه يا صحابي

    تداركوا ما بي

    By Allah, my companions

    Save me from what has afflicted me

  5. من شدّة أوصابي

    من نافح الأرياح

    From the intensity of my misfortunes

    From the blowing winds

  6. ذي له على كل الملاح شامه

    إن الهوى فضاح

    That has authority over all sailors

    Indeed passionate love is disgraceful

  7. ما عاد من عقلي سوى الذمامه

    باللَه يا محبوب

    Nothing of my mind remains but sorrows

    By Allah, O my beloved

  8. يا من له فوق الملاح سلطان

    ريقك مجاني النوب

    O you who have authority over the sailors

    Your saliva of high breed

  9. ومنظرك قد فاق حور رضوان

    من عشقتك ما توب

    And your looks have surpassed the maidens of heaven

    Whoever loved you does not repent

  10. دين الهوى يا خلّ خير الأديان

    والدّمع لي سفاح

    The religion of love, O the best of religions

    And my tears are pouring down

  11. يخدد الأوجان من دوامه

    يا فاتني الطف بي

    Distressing the essence because of their permanence

    O my charming beloved

  12. بالهاشمي العربي

    فقد سلب لبي

    By the Arab Hashemite

    Who has stolen my mind

  13. من مزري الاصباح

    ذي نور خدّه مجلى الظلامه

    From the break of the miserable dawn

    Whose light face dispels the darkness

  14. عويشقك قد راح

    روحه ولا له منكم سلامه

    Your love has departed

    Taking his soul without bidding you farewell

  15. مالي وللعشقه

    السالبة الذاهبة للأذهان

    What business do I have with passionate love

    That robs the minds

  16. ما أعسر من الفرقه

    يا ليت يوم البين قط لا كان

    How difficult is the separation

    I wish the day we parted had never occurred

  17. ما تنطفي الحرقه

    الا اذا شاهدت سبط الابنان

    The burning can only subside

    When I look upon the grandson of the two sons

  18. الفايق الذباح

    ذي مهجتي من عشقته مضامه

    The predominant slayer

    Whose love has made my inner essence his shelter
