Whoever would wage war against his Lord

opposes His saints and His followers.

لِلّه ما أعظم ذنبه

يلقى الإهانة والشقا

God, how great his sin!

He will meet humiliation and misery.

أتعبت نفسك يا فتى

أتعبت نفسك يا فتى

وظننت أن ترقى السما

وظننت أن ترقى السما

You have wearied yourself, young man,

And thought you could ascend to the sky.

لِلّه ما هذا العمى

لِلّه ما هذا العمى

فاللَه يفعل ما يشا

فاللَه يفعل ما يشا

God, what blindness is this!

For God does whatever He wills.

فلسوف تعلمه يقين

فلسوف تعلمه يقين

العاقبة للمتقين

العاقبة للمتقين

So you will know it for certain:

The final outcome belongs to the God-fearing.

انك من المتعرّضين

انك من المتعرّضين

لمن حمى بأهل الحما

لمن حمى بأهل الحما

Indeed, you are among those who challenge

one sheltered by the people of the sanctuary.

يا عوف أحذر تزلق

يا عوف أحذر تزلق

أخشى عقوبتنا تحق

أخشى عقوبتنا تحق

O Awf, beware lest you slip!

I fear our punishment will come to pass,

ويحيق بك أمر مشق

ويحيق بك أمر مشق

من حيث لا تلقى النجا

من حيث لا تلقى النجا

And a grievous ordeal will close in on you,

From where you will find no deliverance.
