Sol 6.1

  1. كساك اللَه من حلل العوافي

    كساء من قذا الأشواب صاف

    May God clothe you in robes of well-being,

    A garment free of the taint of impurities.

  2. وطال بقاكم في خير عيش

    وكان لكم من الأسواء كاف

    And may you live long in the best of lives,

    And may He protect you from evils.

  3. وأمّ الناس بك يا ابو شهاب

    بحسن مودّة وصفا ائتلاف

    And may He lead the people through you, O Abu Shihab,

    With kindly affection and pure concord.

  4. فكم أسديت من فعل جميل

    وكم أعطيت من ظاهر وخاف

    For how many noble deeds you have bestowed,

    And how much you have given, openly and in secret!

  5. فأنت الليث في بأس وبطش

    بعزم خارق وذمام واف

    For you are the lion in prowess and fierce assault,

    With piercing resolve and a faithfully kept pledge.

  6. ورثت المصطفى في كلّ فعل

    بحسن الاقتداء والاتصاف

    You are the Chosen One's heir in every deed,

    By following him well and embodying his qualities.

  7. جزاك اللَه عني كلّ خير

    ودام لك المسرّة والعواف

    May God reward you with every good on my behalf,

    And may joy and well-being ever be yours.

  8. فأنت الفرد مالك من شبيه

    على القول الصحيح بلا خلاف

    For you are unique, with no peer,

    According to sound judgment, without dispute.

  9. وأنت البحر لا ينقصك شيء

    بتكرار الدلاء والاغتراف

    And you are the sea: nothing diminishes you,

    However often buckets are lowered and water drawn.

  10. لقد زنت الخلافة يا صلاحا

    وحسن حسن وصفكم القوافي

    You have indeed adorned the caliphate, O Salah,

    And the beauty of describing you has beautified the rhymes.

  11. وأنت الكعبة العظماء جودا

    لها الوفاد تسعى للطواف

    And in generosity you are the mighty Kaaba,

    To which visitors hasten to circle round.

  12. ترى ذا وافدا يسعى إليها

    وهذا عازم للانصراف

    You see this one arriving, hastening toward it,

    And this one intent on departure.

  13. وصاب قد تودّى وهو لاش

    مع بعدانها ومع الشواف

    Wusab has perished and is naught,

    Along with its Ba'dan and al-Shawaf.

  14. صديقك منك في عزّ وحرز

    وخصمك طالباً حسن الكفاف

    Your friend enjoys honor and protection from you,

    And your foe seeks a decent subsistence.

  15. كمالك مطلقا ماء طهور

    وغيرك ما مقيد بالمضاف

    Your perfection, unqualified, is purifying water,

    While others are water qualified by an admixture.

  16. فمن والاك نال بك المعالي

    ومن عاداك أضحى في تلاف

    So whoever is loyal to you attains high honors through you,

    And whoever is hostile to you comes to ruin.

  17. وأنت القطب في فضل وعدل

    وكلّ الخلق تشهد باعتراف

    And you are the axis of excellence and justice,

    And all creation bears witness in acknowledgment.

  18. فيا أسد الأسود بكلّ حرب

    فكم كرب كشفت وكم خلاف

    So, O lion of lions in every war,

    How many hardships you have dispelled, and how many disputes!

  19. عدوّك مثل عصفور حقير

    منتق للقوادم والخوافي

    Your enemy is like a lowly sparrow,

    Stripped of its primary and secondary flight feathers.

  20. ودم في نعمة ودوام فضل

    مع لطف من الرحمن شافي

    And may you remain in blessing and enduring grace,

    With healing kindness from the All-Merciful,

  21. وقايات عنايات وحرز

    واسم اللَه كافي بل معافى

    Safeguards, watchful care, and refuge.

    And God's name suffices—indeed, grants well-being.

  22. وصلى اللَه ربي كلّ حين

    على المختار خير بني مناف

    And may God, my Lord, send blessings at every moment

    Upon the Chosen One, the best of the sons of Manaf.
